Jane UnderhillFounder & Owner
Jane Underhill is the Owner and Director of Studio Praxis Pilates Inc., a STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Centre founded in 2003 in Montreal. Under her direction, Praxis has trained and motivated clients in private, semi-private and group exercise classes. It has established a Therapeutic Pilates program overseen by a staff physiotherapist and it has garnered the respect of the professional community through it`s highly regarded STOTT PILATES Certification Program. As a consultant, Jane has provided guidance and insight for new business owners and entrepreneurs in the health and wellness industry. In 2009, she was elected to the STOTT PILATES Advisory Board.
Prior to opening Praxis, Jane was the Education Services Coordinator for STOTT PILATES at its Corporate Headquarters in Toronto, Canada. From 1999-2003, she helped establish STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Centres world-wide and co-ordinated pilates training at Hosting Centres in 17 countries. She represented STOTT PILATES at industry conferences throughout Canada and the US and organised the first STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer Conference in Toronto.
Outside the health and wellness industry, Jane is a passionate enthusiast of Art and Architecture. She holds an Undergraduate degree in Fine Art from Concordia University and currently sits on Concordia University's Fine Arts Advisory Board. She was also the Lead Coordinator (2003-2005) of Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion (Westmount, QC); a fundraiser for spinal cord injury research and quality of life initiatives.

With a 10-year career as a professional dancer and aerialist behind her, Sophie-Anne knows how important Pilates is in maintaining a fit and healthy body. In addition to her work as a STOTT PILATES Certified Mat & Reformer instructor, she is a certified Can-Fit-Pro personal trainer and is currently studying Kinesiology at l'Université de Montréal. She also acts as a rehearsal mistress and trainer for various artistic projects in Canada and the United States. She truly believes that Pilates helps each individual find his or her optimal posture and movement patterns, leading to a happier body and mind.
