She fell in love with dance at the age of three and spent her early years in London, ON gaining a base in movement that would later contribute to her path in dance and teaching. She was honoured the James Saya Memorial Bursary from the Chair of the Department of Contemporary Dance in 2005-06. In 2006-07 she received a scholarships from The Foundation of the Advancement of Aboriginal Youth and Tembec, a Quebec-based company. Her passion and dedication to movement continue to drive her toward new creative endeavours. Lara looks forward to furthering her certification training in Pilates. She believes that the private practice is essential for developing a deeper kinaesthetic awareness; it's a place where connections in the body can be realized and achieved. She also feels that the energy of the group classes brings a sense of community and motivation. She enjoys the rewards of witnessing her client's successes. |
